On the date of the inspection there were 4 children in highchairs in the main room, while the other children in care in that room were either engaged with staff or sitting on the mats watching a video. When asked why those 4 children were in the highchairs staff reported that it was an intervention to redirect unwanted behavior. Upon further interview owner did verbalize that at the end of the day children are sometimes put in highchairs while staff clean up the facility.

At the time of the inspection there were nine children in care and three staff persons providing care. When the staff person opened the door for certification representative, they did leave a one-year-old and two older school aged (a total of three) children in the side room unsupervised. After having returned to the main space from answering the door the staff person did not immediately return to the side room where the children were in care. Moments later an older toddler emerged from the director's office. No person was in the office with him.
