One first-aid kit per child care group must accompany children and facility persons on excursions from the facility. Each first aid kit taken on an excursion must contain a bottle of water in addition to the items specified at §3270.75(c).
During initial inspection on 7/1/25, Certification staff observed that first aid kit stored in the main child care area of the facility lacked soap. The first aid kit contained other required items, including adhesive bandages, sterile gauze pads, tweezers, tape, scissors and disposable, nonporous gloves. Certification staff also observed that the first aid kit utilized for excursions outside of the facility did not contain soap, disposable, nonporous gloves, or a bottle of water. This first aid kit did contain the other required items including adhesive bandages, sterile gauze pads, tweezers, tape, and scissors.

A sign on which this requirement is written shall be posted at each toilet, training chair, diapering area and sink in the facility. During initial inspection on 7/1/25, Certification staff observed that the required handwashing signs stipulating that facility persons and able children shall perform handwashing after toileting and before eating was not posted in the required areas. Improper handwashing signage was observed in the toileting and food preparation areas of the facility. No signage was observed in the diapering area. Additionally, the toileting area contained an unlidded waste receptable some distance away from the diapering area.
