    Upon arriving at the facility at approximately 9:35 am, this certification representative contacted the operator by phone to gain entrance into the facility. The operator opened the garage door automatically and this certification representative entered the facility through the garage which leads to the first room in the basement. Staff person #1, the operator, came into the first room to geet this certification representative. Since there were no children observed in the room, the operator was asked if there were children in care at the time and staff person #1 stated there was one child in the playroom. This certification representative walked from the front room, through the laundry room and into the playroom where child #4, a 3 year-old, was observed, unsupervised, while the staff person remained in the laundry room and quickly washed their hands before entering the play room.
