It was observed during inspection that infants in care were not being spoken to in a positive manner by staff person #1. It was also observed that infants were being given Baby Puff snacks to keep them content in their feeding chairs while staff persons #1 and #2 talked with cert rep rather than being provided a choice of activities to promote developmental skills.

The legal entity must arrange for staff persons #1, #2, #3, and #4 to receive a minimum of two hour in person training regarding supervision. The legal entity must receive DHS approval of the training content prior to scheduling the training.
Staff person #1 admitted to leaving the classroom which resulted in older toddlers being left alone and unsupervised during nap time. It was also indicated by many staff members that staff persons #1, #2 and #3 leave the classrooms during nap time to go into the office with the director, leaving children alone and unsupervised.
