3290.74(a) · Floors, walls, ceilings and other surfaces, including the facility's outdoor play area, shall be kept clean, in good repair and free from visible hazards. Operator shall provide a schedule of when the chimney and vent will be cleaned while it is in use.
It was observed that an outside exhaust vent was dripping a tar-like substance, assumed to be creosote, onto the deck area used by children. It was stated that this vent was used as the means to exhaust the provider's wood burning stove.
