3270.94(a)(9) · The Director or designated staff person who is responsible for compliance with this chapter shall conduct fire drills and ensure that a written record is maintained on file at the facility indicating the specific time of day of the drill, the hypothetical location of the fire, the evacuation time, and the names of the facility persons and the number of children who participate in the fire drill.

The fire drill record for the months of June, 2021 thru April of 2022 lacked the evacuation time. The fire drill completed on 5/2/22, now contains the evacuation time.

3270.95(a)/3270.95(b) · Fire detection devices or systems must be in compliance with standards established under section 1016(c) of the act (62 P.S. §  1016(c)).The Director or designated staff person who is responsible for compliance with this chapter shall ensure the requirements under subsection (a) are met. Demonstrate operable fire detection system/devices. Proof of purchase of the interconnected fire system/devices shall be on file at the facility. Manual checks of the fire detection system/devices shall be completed at least every 30 days.

At renewal inspection on 5/23/22, observed that the interconnected smoke detector located in the kitchen was not hung on the wall as the battery was being replaced and thus, was inoperable. Proof of purchase of the interconnected smoke detectors was not on file. There was more than 30 days between manual tests of the fire detection devices and dated 1/12/22 and 2/16/22.
