The legal entity must create a policy in order to maintain proper ratio. This policy will ensure that proper staff:child ratio is maintained at all times. This policy should include the required ratios, address the procedure to follow if staff who are assigned a group have to leave the space for any reason (including walking children to the bus, breaks or bathroom), address how proper ratios will be maintained when school is delayed or school canceled for the day, and address how ratios will be maintained when staff are running late or call off. The legal entity must receive approval of the policy from the Regional Office. Once approved by the Regional Office, the legal entity must review policy with all staff and have staff sign off that they understand and will follow the ratio policy. The provider must provide a date for when this will be completed.

An inspection was conducted on 1/28/26. Cert Rep observed staff person #2 walk 9 school aged children outside to put the children on the school bus and left staff person #3 inside with 13 preschool children. Staff person #3 reported that due to the school delay the preschool classroom had 13 preschool children and 9 school aged children in the classroom for approximately 2 hours with two staff.
