Observed teeth marks in foam blocks in the Young Toddler #1 Room. The designated indoor gross motor play space was observed to have a rubber turf material. The rubber turf includes a "crumb rubber" resulting in pieces measuring less than 1 inch in diameter throughout the gross motor space. The outdoor gross motor play space contained wood chips less than 1 inch in diameter throughout the gross motor space. This creates a potential choking hazard for children who may still be placing objects in their mouths.
