The CPSL was revised on 9/18/2018 to include a requirement that all clearances be updated and on file at least every 60 months. CPSL was revised to include new hires that have resided out of Pennsylvania with in the 5 previous years must obtain State Police and Child abuse clearances from the state that they have resided. Tiered LIS: 1. Staff # 1 and # 2 will not work in childcare until all clearances are on file. This portion of the plan shall have an immediate date of correction. 2. Director will develop a policy on how CPSL regulations are tracked. This policy must be approved by DHS. This portion of the plan shall have a correction date of when this will be completed.

All staff persons shall renew their certification in pediatric first aid and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on or before the expiration of the most current certification. Staff person # 1 will have until 10/24/24 to complete the required training. Until such time as the required training has been completed, staff person # 1 must be supervised, when interacting with children, by a staff person who has completed the required training related to this citation. If there are no staff available to supervise staff person # 1, staff person # 1 may not work in a child-care position at the facility.

Facility Person #3 may not work in a childcare position at the facility. The CPSL was revised on 9/18/2018 to include a requirement that all clearances be updated and on file at least every 60 months. The Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) was revised to include the requirement for the National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) Clearance effective 9/30/2019. The CPSL also states that anyone hired after 9/30/19 was required to have the NSOR clearance to work in childcare. Current staff must have the NSOR clearance no later 7/1/20. CPSL was revised to include new hires that have resided out of Pennsylvania with in the 5 previous years must obtain State Police and Child abuse clearances from the state that they have resided.

    Staff person #1 did not update her child abuse clearance within 60 months. Her original child abuse clearance is dated 5-5-17 and it was not updated until 10-16 23. Staff person #3 started at the facility on 12-15-22 and does not have a NSOR clearance on file. There is verification on file that she applied for the NSOR clearance prior to starting at the facility on 12-15-22, but there is no clearance.
