During the renewal inspection on 7/11/23, there was no qualified director. The program was cited and provided an acceptable plan of correction that stated "I have hired a qualified director to manage the facility. coordinate and plan daily activities write evaluations for staff member and to oversee the daily operations. The director has a bachelors degree and several years experience and meets all qualifications needed to be the director. Daycare will maintain a qualified director to continue operations." The date of correction was 7/28/23. During an onsite visit on 9/12, the director was not onsite. Full unofficial transcripts showing the provider's name and the college name were provided on 9/16. Upon review of these transcripts, staff did not have enough acceptable credits to qualify as a director. A second citation was issued for not having a director. An acceptable plan of corrections was submitted that stated by 1/3/24 Alphabet Express will take the necessary procedures to hire a qualified director with the specified qualifications at 3270(b) 1-4 to work a minimum of 30 hours per week to oversee the daily operations. To remain in compliance this qualified director will be hired by the end of December, and stay working 30 hours a week ongoing. On 1/3/24, during an unannounced inspection, the file of staff person #1 was reviewed. There was no FBI clearance. A director cannot be hired as a provisional hire.
