Upon arrival at 1:30 pm, Certification Representative knocked on the back door leading into the lower level of the home where child care is provided. After knocking 2 times, Cert Rep walked around to the front door and knocked twice on the door. Cert Rep then walked back around to the back of the house where staff person #1 was observed walking out the back door onto the patio. Once inside, Cert Rep requested the child files that needed to be reviewed but they were unavailable due to being upstairs and staff person #1 was unable to go upstairs to retrieve the documents.

Upon entering the child care space, Cert Rep observed 2 children (a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old) in the room. Cert Rep observed the small room on the right with the door open, the room was dark due to the lights being off with a 3-year-old child napping in the room. The door was closed to the small room on the left. Upon opening the door, the room was dark due to the lights being off and 3 children (two 3-year-olds and a 4-year-old) were napping in the room. Upon arrival to the facility, the Certification Representative knocked on the basement level door leading into the child care space multiple times before walking to the front door of the home where Staff person #1 answered the door. Staff person #1 stated she was upstairs working on her computer while the children were napping.
