During this time, there were 4 toddlers awake being served a snack at the table and 2 children were sleeping on their cots. Naptime ratios no longer apply when children are awake. Ratios for a mixed age group that includes young toddlers is 1:5. Staff person #1 was alone in the classroom for approximately 10 - 15 minutes before a 2nd staff person came into the classroom.

    It was observed at the time of inspection the infant/toddler feeding table seats did not have straps, a metal junction box on the floor of the indoor play room had sharp edges, nails were loose and exposed on wood covering a fuse box in the indoor play space, a closet door was open that had an electric box in the pre-school room, a cracked plastic bin with pinch points and sharp edges was in the pre-school room, a door leading to a stairwell was unlocked in the hallway, a wire was hanging in the infant classroom and cables were hanging in the young toddler classroom.
