A facility person's record shall include a copy of requests for the criminal history record and child abuse registry clearance information, a copy of the disclosure statement and a copy of the completed clearance information required under the CPSL. Facility Person #2 may not work in a child care position at the facility until a PA State Police Clearance for employment is on file.

    A renewal inspection began 2/24/26 and continued 5/5/26 when children were in care at the facility. On 5/5/26, Facility Person #2 was observed preparing lunch and interacting with the children. The file for Facility Person #2 contains a volunteer PA state police clearance, but not one for employment.

    A renewal inspection began 2/24/26 and continued 5/5/26 when children were in care at the facility. An electrical outlet not equipped with a protective cover or a protective faceplate was observed in the infant room approximately twelve inches high on the wall.

    A renewal inspection began 2/24/26 and continued 5/5/26 when children were in care at the facility. On 5/5/26, lunch was being prepared in the kitchen on the stove. The stove reached a temperature of 182° F at that time. There was no protective guard on the stove and the kitchen was not equipped with a gate to prevent access. The door was open all the way with the door stopper holding the door in place.

A facility person may not restrain a child by using bonds, ties or straps to restrict a child's movement or by enclosing the child in a confined space, closet or locked room. The legal entity must arrange for Staff Person #1 to complete the training entitled "Big Emotions and Self-Regulation for Adults and Children" through Better Kid Care. The operator shall provide a correction date for when the training will be completed.

    A renewal inspection began 2/24/26 and continued 5/5/26 when children were in care at the facility. On 5/5/26, Staff Person #1 was observed holding Child #1 tightly by the wrist while yelling "You're not gonna destroy my class. I'm not your mom. You're not gonna destroy it!"
