    3270.113(b) · A facility person may not use any form of physical punishment, including spanking a child.

    During a complaint investigation on 6/2/23, it was reported by facility staff # 1, that they swatted child # 1 on their bottom on 5/24/23 while child # 1 was kicking another child in the K Prep classroom. Staff # 1 asked child # 1to stop kicking the other child and they would not. Staff # 1 then swatted child # 1 on their bottom with staff#1's fingertips. Child # 1 was not upset, crying or distraught after being swatted on the bottom by facility staff # 1. Facility staff person # 1 then immediately called the front office and reported to staff what had happened and to come to the facility classroom to relieve them from the classroom. Staff #1 was immediately put on administrative leave and subsequently resigned.
