416.14(b)(1) · Each applicant must complete the Office-approved training that complies with the federal minimum health and safety pre-service training requirements or three-month orientation period training requirements. This training must be obtained pre-service or within three months of starting such position. Individuals who have completed Office approved training that complies with federal health and safety requirements may be left unsupervised with children. Any teacher, director, or volunteer who does not complete this training must not be left unsupervised with children in care until such times as the training has been completed.

416.11(f)(7)(ii) · For children less than eighteen months of age, prescription medications, oral over-the-counter medications, medicated patches, and eye, ear, or nasal drops or sprays, can be administered by a caregiver for one day only, with verbal permission of the parent and verbal instructions directly from the health care provider or licensed authorized prescriber. If prescription medications, oral over-the-counter medications, medicated patches, and eye, ear, or nasal drops or sprays are to be administered on a subsequent day or an ongoing basis, written permission from the parent and written instructions from the health care provider must have been provided to the caregiver prior to such administration.
