The ceiling tiles are not in good repair as evidenced by water stains. 6/13/24- The director has already submitted a work order for maintenance to repair. 7/13/24- Walk throughs are done frequently throughout the building, especially after it rains, to make sure building is in compliance. Food Service 8.9.4.29.A.1.:A center will keep the premises, including furniture, fixtures, floors, drinking fountains, toys and equipment clean, safe, and in good repair. The center and premises will be free of debris and potential hazards. Finding The premises are not in good repair as evidenced by frozen gallon of milk in the classroom refrigerator. Corrective Action Plan 6/13/24- Frozen milk will be dumped. 7/13/24- Temperatures in all refrigerators will be monitored by classroom educators daily. A log is kept in classrooms to record temperatures. Educators notify admin when issues occur.

8.9.4.29 · F EXITS AND WINDOWS
A children’s activity area does not have windows and/or skylight area of at least 1/20th of the floor area in the Infant - (6 wk. - 12 mo.) classroom. Director requested a variance for the infant classroom. The variance was approved on 2/2/2024. Preschool Classroom 8.9.4.29.F.4.:Activity areas for children must have windows or skylight area of at least one-twentieth of the floor area. A skylight means an opening in a roof or ceiling, framed, and fitted with glass for admitting natural light. A skylight is also a tubular skylight, solar tube, or light tunnel. Tubular skylights are devices which uses a rooftop dome to transfer light indoors through reflective tubing running from the roof to the ceiling. Natural lighting received from an adjacent room will not meet the natural lighting requirements. Finding A children’s activity area does not have windows and/or skylight area of at least 1/20th of the floor area in the Preschool class room(s). Corrective Action Plan Director submitted request for a variance for classrooms on 1/19/2024 and was approved on 2/2/2024.
