8.9.4.29 · H SAFETY COMPLIANCE
The center does not have verification of an annual fire inspection from the fire authority having jurisdiction. Immediate Action: On 6/25/25 Director will get into contact with fire marshal to schedule a visit. Preventative Action: Once the fire inspection is completed, the Director will send it to licensing and will make sure it gets posted within 30 days. Ongoing Action: Director will ensure that on her walk throughs of the classrooms that documentation posted in the center are up to date.

The refrigerator in the kitchen does not have a working internal thermometer. Director will order thermometers for the three appliances in the kitchen. All staff will check daily that the thermometers are visible and at the appropriate temperature.

The ceiling tiles are not in good repair as evidenced by ceiling tiles are not placed on correct and could fall off, and screens over windows need to be repaired. Will contact maintenance and have them fix the tiles and the screens. Add check ceiling tiles and windows to weekly checklist.

Electrical outlets within reach of children in the 2-3 year old classroom are not safety outlets and they do not have protective covers. I will order additional outlet covers as soon as possible and install before the classroom opens. Train teachers and myself to check outlets daily using daily checklist.
