Guidance being used by staff in the 3 yr. old Classroom(s) is not positive and does not include redirection and clear limits to encourage the child's ability to become self-disciplined. ***The educator was observed forcefully pulling the sleeping mat while a child was laying down, causing the child to roll over to the floor and then she sits up. Furthermore, the educator was observed aggressively pulling the blanket from Child A startle him, and then pointing at him as she was telling him something.*** The educator will complete the following trainings in the QUORUM website: "The Juggling Act: Schedules, Routines and Transitions" "Creating Positive Connections" The director and assistant director will ensure the educator completes the above trainings in the QUORUM website on or by 06/24/2024. The center does not keep a change of clothes and an adequate supply of diapers on hand for each child. ***In the last week of July 2023, the center did not an have extra supply of underwear available for a child that had run out of under wear in the two-year old's classroom. The child was not able to use pullups that the center had. The center was aware that child needed the underwear but failed to have the extra items**** Nalc as a center will buy underwear of all sizes to store in each classroom and advise the teachers to keep the office aware if the supply is gone for resupplying issues.
