The equipment in the cottage cubbies classroom are not clean as evidenced by mats for napping are stored in the attached restroom and are not disinfected prior to use. IMMEDIATE: Educators in the Cottage Cubbies classroom have located alternate storage and mats will no longer be stored in the restroom. Director will investigate methods of preventing restroom access to outside parties that share classroom space and will either advise educators to sanitize mats prior to use on Mondays or find alternate storage. PREVENTATIVE: Director will advise all educators on proper hygiene procedures when storing mats/cots in a restroom used for toileting. The child(ren) in the 2 yr. old class room(s) was/were left unattended when mother dropped them off, she did not make sure educator was aware of children coming in late and walked out of the center. The center is still responsible for the safety of the children.. Director states she will add the QR code in the classroom for parent to sign in their child in the classroom and notify parents of change, update this policy in the parent handbook and will ensure Front Desk is aware of classroom outside time to be able to notify parents coming in late. Director will also send parents the playtime schedule so that they can be aware of the time just in case they are coming in late. Director will also be posting a sign outside the classroom indicating they are out in play time to make everyone aware of where they are currently at.
