8.9.4.24 · A GUIDANCE
Children were lifted by the arms. Immediate: The director separated the employee from the children (March 13, 2025) and met with staff to talk about the incident. The daycare director notified Human Resources and parents. Human Resource staff conducted a preliminary investigation and started gathering statements from all daycare staff. Preventative: The center reassigned the employee to a different department. An ongoing staff training and evaluation: The Director will evaluate staff members’ weekly performance and provide ongoing training to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. (On-going through-out the new school year, August 2025 to May 2026) Monitoring: The Director will regularly evaluate staff performance to identify potential issues. The Director will meet with staff once a week starting August 2025. The director will develop and communicate clear policies and procedures for child safety and employee conduct with staff. This will be conducted throughout the year. The director will review online child abuse/safety trainings in Quorum for educators to take. The provider will send licensing correction documents.
