8.9.4.24 · J OUTDOOR PLAY AREAS
The fall zone underneath the swings is not adequate as evidenced by the absence of energy absorbent material - the surface is concrete. Immediate- Director has contacted a company which will be placing a new absorbent material. This has been scheduled to start at the beginning of next month-October 2025. Preventive- Effective September 26th, 2025; another company will come to Teddy Bear Preschool & Daycare to work on both of our front Playgrounds. This company will ensure to level the ground surface and evenly spread the woodchips under slides, swings, and rest of the ground. Also, we went ahead and removed wooden logs that were showing in the surface reducing the possibility of any accident. Next, administration will monitor and take roles making sure the playgrounds are safe for our children. A playground format will help admins and teachers to monitor that the playground continues to meet proper requirements for its use. Finally, We have as a plan to add more woodchips into playgrounds.
