8.9.4.23 · C STAFF/CHILD RATIOS AND GROUP SIZES
The center combines age groups of children. The required group size for the Age in group: two through four years - 1:12 or fraction of group thereof, Age in group: six years and older - 1:15 or fraction of group thereof. The observed group size was 1 four year old child with 8 school age children in the (green room). Immediate - On 11/24/2025 Director removed 4 year old child from room and brought groupings back into compliance. Preventative - Effective 12/1/2025 Director will refer back to page 24 of the NMAC for allowable mixing of age groups. Group sizes/age groups will be followed/observed at all hours of the day. Educators did not complete the following training within 3-months: child development course that addresses all major domains of child development (3 out of 10 Staff) Immediate: On 8/4/25 the director will meet with staff to schedule required trainings. Preventative: Within the first week of new staff hired the director will discuss with new staff required trainings and set up online training site.
