The center had multiple preschool aged children who repeatedly attempted to leave the room. One child attempted to escape four times in twenty minutes even moving the barrier three times to get out of the assigned location. This resulted in one staff member having to run out of the room chasing the child each time. The staff attempted to keep the child in arm's reach but he continuously escaped when staff were tending to other children. When the child was not trying to escape the room, he continuously played with the school's POS system and ran into the kitchen area behind the barrier. One staff member had to keep going after the child to remove him from the kitchen area. 10.14.2025-The named child was observed to follow directions and briefly required intervention. The child was able to follow the routine at the onset of the program.
