Also, the pipe insulation in the boiler room is a mix of fiberglass and presumed asbestos pipe joint insulation –all in good condition at the time of the DOH site inspection. Lastly, there remains presumed asbestos pipe insulation on the pipes above drop ceiling tiles in your childcare center—no damage identified during the DOH site inspection. Please continue to ensure these asbestos and presumed asbestos-containing materials remain in condition. If any of these materials need to be removed or repaired in the future, this must be conducted only by a NJ Dept. of Labor licensed asbestos abatement contractor. Center must submit a MOU to OOL regarding the asbestos action plan.
