Upon my relicensing review, it was found that one staff file indicated the employee had not completed the department-approved Basic Child Care Course within ninety days of employment. The employee was hired on 7/2/2025 and switched to a backup helper position on 8/28/2025. The required department-approved Basic Child Care Course has still not been completed. Bottineau Children’s Academy previously received a teachable moment regarding employees not completing the Basic Child Care Course within ninety days of employment during an unannounced visit on 10/3/2024. At that time, a form was sent to the Director strongly recommending its use to help track all required employee documentation and ensure that required training is completed in a timely manner.
