Ellen Hardin, Site Director assisted me with the visit. The program operated with a four-star license, issued March 5, 2018, earning seven points in Staff Education standards, two points in Program Standards, and one point in quality. The last annual compliance visit was conducted March 11, 2024. The sanitation inspection was completed February 5, 2025, with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted on September 17, 2024, and your facility was approved for daytime care only. The program’s compliance history was ninety-seven percent as of February 26, 2025. You visited each indoor and outdoor space with me. Children observed were transitioning to after school care, personal care routines, and group leader activities. Age-appropriate materials and equipment were accessible to children. Children were adequately supervised. Violation Number Comment Rule 1044 Prior to the expiration date of the qualification letter, the child care provider did not complete and submit required forms to complete a criminal background check (a qualification letter is valid for a maximum of five years for the date of issuance). One staff member did not complete and submit the requires forms to complete a criminal background check to receive a qualification letter. Ellen Hardin, Site Director, accompanied me on a walk-through of the premises. The program operated with a four-star license, issued March 5, 2018, earning seven points for education, two points for program standards, and one quality point for complying with an education option. License restrictions include daytime care, school age only, enhanced space, and playground area does not meet child care playground safety standards. The program’s compliance history was ninety-eight percent as of November 15, 2024. You stated Public Schools of Robeson County are still the legal owners of St Pauls Primetime. I observed children transitioning to after school care, group leader lead activities, and completing homework I found supervision and staff/child ratios to be in compliance. The Group Leaders were interacting and meeting the developmental needs of the children. No new files for new staff were reviewed. Fire and sanitation inspections are current. The following violation was observed during today's visit. Violation Number Comment Rule 106 Operator has not scheduled and obtained a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection. Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division. The facility obtained a fire inspection on September 17, 2024 and did not submit the approved fire inspection until November 18, 2024 the routine unannounced visit. The site director has requested the all fire inspections be submitted to the supervisor for all of the Robeson county school Primetimes in order for the DCDEE to receive the inspection within one week of an inspections. 10A NCAC 09 .0304(a) Child care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Technical assistance was also offered on creating a positive environment for developing social skills in a school-age program. Developing children’s social skills is a fundamental part of their growth and success. A well-designed school-age program provides a positive environment that fosters peer interactions, emotional regulation, and teamwork. Below are strategies, tools, and techniques to support the social development of children through a structured and positive environment Activities to Promote Social Skills. 1. Cooperative Games: Games like charades, board games, or relay races help children practice turn-taking and teamwork. 2. Group Projects: Assign collaborative tasks (e.g., building a model or planning a skit) to encourage communication and shared responsibility. 3.
