Your program currently operates with a three-star license, issued April 8, 2020, earning six points in the education component, two points in the program standards component (meeting enhanced ratios) and one quality point for all lead teachers and teachers have at least five years EC work experience in no more than two different centers. The last annual compliance visit was conducted July 1, 2025. The sanitation inspection was completed December 11, 2024, with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted on February 13, 2026, and your facility was approved for daytime care only. The program’s compliance history was ninety-eight percent as of June 8, 2026. The NC Secretary of State website was reviewed on June 8, 2026, no corporation is listed as the owner, you confirmed the ownership has not changed from Jackie Morrison. The license was posted, and the restrictions were in compliance. You visited each indoor and outdoor space with me. Children were observed during outdoor free play activities. Teachers were observed interacting with children while they played. Age-appropriate materials and equipment were accessible to the children. Children were adequately supervised. The following violation was observed during today’s visit. Violation Number Comment Rule 1052 Staff required to receive on-going training had not completed the required number of hours according to their education and experience. One administrator and two staff have not all their required on=going training hours according to their education and experience. .1103(a) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. You, Jackie Morrison, Administrator, assisted me with the visit. The caregivers were interacting and meeting the developmental needs for each of the children. No new staff files were reviewed due to no new employees. I recommend you spend a few hours each week becoming proficient at implementing the Early Learning Matters (ELM) Curriculum, 2nd edition for 0-3 and 3-5. You should start with the Training for Direct Care Staff: Using ELM Successfully. ELM Curriculum activities frequently use guided play. In guided play, a child pursues his/her interests within a caregiver-supported situation that reflects a program’s goals for learning. Jackie Morrison, Administrator, assisted me with today’s visit. Your program currently operates with a three-star license, issued April 8, 2020, earning six points in the education component, two points in the program standards component (meeting enhanced ratios) and one quality point for all lead teachers and teachers have at least five years EC work experience in no more than two different centers. The last annual compliance visit was conducted July 20, 2023. The sanitation inspection was completed March 9, 2023, with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted January 26, 2024, and your facility was approved for daytime care only. The program’s compliance history was one hundred percent as of July 8, 2024. The NC Secretary of State website was reviewed on July 8, 2024, no corporation is listed as the owner, you confirmed the ownership has not changed from Jackie Morrison. The license was posted, and the restrictions were in compliance. You visited each indoor and outdoor space with me. Children were observed children during indoor free play activities. Teachers were observed interacting with children while they played. Age-appropriate materials and equipment were accessible to the children. Children were adequately supervised. No violations were observed. The following violation(s) were documented and observed. The administrator has called Robeson County Environmental Health to request a sanitation inspection. 10A NCAC 09 .0304(b) 1897 The child care administrator and all staff did not complete the Recognizing and Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment training within 90 days of employment. One staff hired March 11, 2024 did not completed Recognizing and Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment training within 90 days of employment. .1102(g) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Any violation(s) documented may impact the compliance history score. The violation(s) documented must be corrected immediately. On or before July 23, 2024, I must receive a written, dated, and signed compliance letter that describes accurately and in detail how and when the violations were corrected. The training consists of watching a short video then taking a test about the video. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the test. Email the certificate along with your full name, position and Facility ID to DCDEE_ABCMS_Provider@dhhs.nc.gov to get access to the portal. We will grant your access within 2 business days.
