Your program currently operates with a five star license, issued November 20, 2017 earning 7 points in the education component, 7 points in the program standards component ,meeting enhanced ratios and space and 1 quality point for meeting the programmatic option. Your program was also monitored for compliance with implementing an approved curriculum, Creative Curriculum, as required for all four and five star licensed facilities where four-year-old children are enrolled. The last annual compliance visit was conducted March 10, 2025. The sanitation inspection was completed on December 5, 2025 with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted August 21, 2025 and your facility was approved for daytime care only. Each indoor and outdoor space was monitored. The children were observed playing in centers, toileting, completing art activities with staff, participating in group music and movement and story time. Lunch consisted of chicken quesadilla, fish nuggets, Peas, sweet potato fries, applesauce and milk. The NC Pre-K requirements in section .3000 of the child care rules were monitored for compliance. The NC Pre-K Program Site Monitoring Tool was reviewed today. Hand, L. Morgan, T. Hare, and L. Batalla. A selection of files were monitored for completed health assessments and developmental screenings. You stated you have completed the DIAL-4 screenings. The center uses the Teaching Strategies Gold instrument to document evidence of children's ongoing progress. The checkpoint assessments are conducted three times per year: October, October, February and May of the school year. The developmental day requirements in section .2900 of the child care rules were monitored for compliance. Children who receive developmental day services are currently cared for in spaces # 1 and 2. Staff-child ratios and maximum group sizes required in Child Care Rule 10A NCAC 09 .2902(f) were verified in compliance.
