The FCCH operates with a 5-STAR license that was issued on 5-15-23. My visit was conducted with you, Latasha Little, Provider. Three children were present and observed finishing lunch and preparing for a nap in the primary care area of the FCCH which is a converted dining and living room at the front door. The kitchen was blocked off by a baby gate and the bedroom doors were closed. The children play outside in the fenced in backyard. **VERIFICATION OF RECORDS: *EPR Training completed on=11-17-22. The EPR plan was updated on 2-25-23. *I reviewed the NC Secretary of State’s website and observed the owner of the facility (Pearl’s Promise, LLC) is listed as current-active. *The last fire drill was on 12-29-23 & lockdown drill was on 12-15-23. The last outdoor inspection was completed on 12-29-23. Technical Assistance was offered on how to correct the violation cited and how to maintain compliance. To maintain compliance with NC laws and rules regarding childcare operation, the following violation must be corrected immediately. Email a corrective action letter BY 2-12-24 to michelle.ezzell@dhhs.nc.gov Violation Number Comment Rule 810 Refrigerator was not maintained at a temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit or below and/or was not monitored by a refrigerator thermometer. The provider's digital refrigerator thermometer was not working during the visit. 10A NCAC 09 .1725(a)(10) *****TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE/REMINDERS: ***** *Your refrigerator must have a refrigerator thermometer and maintain a temperature of 45 degrees or colder. *Remember to continue to update your Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) Plan every year and print out the cover page showing the current date.
