Your program currently operates with a One-Star license. Today’s visit was conducted with you, Ms. Brittany Jarrett, Center Director and the new Assistant Director. Staff interaction/discipline, staff-child ratios, maximum group sizes, and supervision were verified in compliance. In rooms for infants, children were observed resting, being rocked to sleep, held while bottle feeding, having floor play time, and having their diaper changed. Staff talked with the infants about their activities, assisted children when needed, and completed proper handwashing. In one room, a timer was used to signal when to check on sleeping infants. In classrooms for older children, children participated in circle time while listening to a book being read. They moved freely to a variety of activity areas including water play with droplets, reading independently, playing games, and using table top materials. Children also played outdoors. The facility was monitored for health and safety requirements, program requirements, equipment, and furnishings. One violation related to medication was documented. A sample of existing and all new staff records were monitored. You completed the documentation on the staff and training worksheet. Children’s records were reviewed today, and information was documented on the children’s records form. A checklist was also used to monitor compliance today. The last annual compliance visit was conducted on 7/10/2025. Sanitation and fire inspections are current. The facility’s owner is listed as active/current with the NCSOS. Violation Number Comment Rule 1882 Medication authorization, giving the caregiver standing authorization did not meet the specifications in rule. Medication authorization for emergency medication expired 2/2026. .0803(6)(a-i); .0803(7)(a-g); .0803(8)(a-d) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Any violation(s) documented may impact the compliance history score. The violation(s) documented must be corrected immediately. On or before July 15, 2026, I must receive a compliance letter explaining how and when the violation(s) were corrected. Please be aware any information submitted by you is legal documentation. If sufficient information is not received by the due date, a follow-up visit may be conducted.
