This facilities last annual compliance visit was conducted on November 21st, 2025. The center currently operates with a 3- star license, operating at 25 sq. ft. inside, & enhanced space. My visit was conducted with you, Mira Bailey and Monea Bowens, Co- Directors/owners. Upon my arrival the children were observed participating in outdoor play (gross motor play, painting, drawing. Children were observed heading inside for personal care, put on their indoor shoes and participated in carpet time which included reading a book, yoga, stretching and manipulative toys before personal care and head back outside to have lunch. I monitored the required posted documents, interactions between staff and children, discipline, supervision, group sizes, space capacity, program requirements, equipment, staff and children’s files and furnishings. VERIFICATION OF RECORDS: *Last fire inspection= 9/2/2025 *Sanitation inspection=10/2/2025- 4 demerits and a superior rating. *On October 9th, 2025, I reviewed the NC Secretary of State’s website and observed Little Leaf Discovery School, LLC owner of the facility (Little Leaf Discovery School) listed as current and active. * Compliance history as of today’s visit 99% * EPR plan revised 11/2024 * Fire drill- 9/18/2025 @ 11:10 am and took 40 seconds * Shelter in place- 8/26/2025 @ 11:35am and took 45 seconds * Playground inspection- 9/18/2025 *The following violation was cited during today’s visit. Violation Number Comment Rule 1805 A child care operator did not notify the Division of any new child care providers, as defined in G.S. 110-90.2(a)(2), who were hired or moved into the child care facility within five business days. The ABCMS criminal record portal requirement was not completed per requirements. G.S. 110-90.2 & .2703(r) Based on a violation of childcare requirements being cited a letter of correction is required by October 23rd, 2025. Please send via email to the address listed below.
