Providers in Cohort 1 are not required to continue their with a rated license assessment unless you want to, and providers in Cohort 2 do not need to start their preparation year assessment unless you want to. Prep year scales and assessment year scales are optional and up to your discretion at this time. Message from NCRLAP https://ncrlap.org/ 2024: “NC continues to use the Revised editions of each scale for official assessments. The Revised editions have spiral bindings on the side and not the top, so make sure to have the correct version when thinking about your next assessment. Beginning on February 1, 2025 the Third editions of the ECERS, ITERS, and FCCERS will be used for official assessments; these scales all have a spiral binding on the top. More information about these versions will be posted in the fall of 2024 to help programs get to know the new measures and think about future assessments”.
