This facilities last annual compliance visit was conducted on 11/14/2023. A checklist was used to note the requirements I monitored today. Your signature on the bottom of serves as verification that the information provided is accurate and complete. This PreK currently operates with a 4- star license, issued on June 7th, 2023, and operating at 30sq. ft. inside, highest enhanced ratios and space at the seven-point level. My visit was conducted with you, Lead E. O’Neil, and Assistant teacher A. Upchurch. Upon arrival the children were observed participating in the conclusion of circle time and taking their name tags and participating in center time. During the visit I obtained enrollment and conducted my observations. I monitored the required posted documents (license, sanitation, arrival/departure, first aid poster), interactions between staff and children, discipline, supervision, group sizes, space capacity, program requirements, equipment, furnishings, and outdoor environment. VERIFICATION OF RECORDS: *Last fire inspection= 2/12/2024 and approved for daytime care only *Sanitation inspection=11/15/2023- 4 demerits and a superior rating * Compliance History as of 10/22/2024- 99% * Fire drill- 9/10/2024 @ 2pm * Playground inspection- 9/5/2024 * Shelter in place- 9/18/2024 @ 10am * Clean water for Carolina kids- 10/5/2022 * Asbestos 5/22/2024 * Lead paint- not completed yet… please complete *The following violation of non-compliance was cited today. Violation Number Comment Rule 1041 Prior to employment a Criminal Background Check was not completed. The newly hired TA did not have her CBC completed prior to her first day of employment on October 21st, 2024. G.S. 110-90.2(b) A violation of childcare requirements was cited during my visit and requires a letter of corrective action by November 2nd, 2024.
