The program’s compliance history was one hundred percent (100%) as of November 11, 2024. The license was posted, and the restrictions were in compliance. The last annual compliance visit was completed on 11/12/24. The last sanitation report was conducted March 35, 2025, with 0 demerits and received a superior status. The last fire inspection was conducted on September 9, 2025, and was approved for daytime care only. Staff/child ratio, group size, supervision, use of licensed space, space capacity, and license restrictions were monitored. The license and emergency care plan were posted. Fire drills, medication administration, and storage of hazardous products were also monitored. Children were observed in center play in both classrooms. Proper hand washing techniques were observed. The Annual Compliance Monitoring Checklist, Children’s Records Worksheet and the Staff and Training Worksheet was completed today. Rated license requirements were reviewed to ensure compliance was maintained with current program and education components as well as the quality point. Lunch was a soft taco with ground beef, corn, apple slices and milk. The following violations of applicable child care requirements were observed today. Violation Number Comment Rule 611 All beds, cots, or mats with individual linen were not provided for each child. Linens were not placed on the cots during rest time. 15A NCAC 18A .2821(c) 1041 Prior to employment a Criminal Background Check was not completed. N. McPhatter did not have a completed Criminal Background Check prior to employment. G.S. 110-90.2(b) 1757 A valid qualification letter was not on file and available to review at the facility. N. Technical Assistance: Today there was a substitute in classroom #3. This is her first day substituting in an NC Pre-K classroom. She submitted her required CBC information to DCDEE on October 8, 2025. She received her qualifying letter during the visit. All substitutes must have the qualifying letter and they will need to attach their CBC qualifying letter in the ABCMS to each school they substitute for. License restrictions include daytime care only, no children under three years old, meets enhanced ratios minus one; meets enhanced ratios and meets enhanced space. Your program was also monitored for compliance with implementing an approved curriculum as required for all four- and five-star licensed facilities where four-year-old children are enrolled. The center's compliance history was reviewed with the operator. The program’s compliance history was one hundred percent (100%) as of November 11, 2024. The license was posted, and the restrictions were in compliance. The last annual compliance visit was completed on 11/28/23.
