Name of Operation: ROBIN'S NEST FAMILY CHILD CARE HOME Facility ID: 47000224 Consultant: ALECIA PASCHAL Operation Type: Family CC Home Case Number: Visit Date: 8/20/2025 Number Present: 6 Completed Date: 8/20/2025 Age: From 1 To 6 Total Minutes: 115 Time In: 12:35 PM Time Out: 02:30 PM Time In: Time Out: List to Use: Family CC Home Type Of Visit: Routine Unannounced Announced/Unannounced: Unannounced The purpose of today’s visit was to monitor your program for compliance with applicable child care requirements for an annual compliance visit. Robin Galbreath, the operator, assisted me with the visit. The program currently operates with a three-star license, issued April 20, 2022, earning six points in education standards, two points in program standards and one quality point by choosing to meet programmatic option. License restrictions include: first and second shift; maximum of five preschool children at any time; fireplace/woodstove not used during operating hours and serves no more than two infants under age one. The program’s compliance history was one hundred percent (100%) as of August 20, 2025, and was reviewed with the operator during today’s visit. Your last Annual Compliance visit was on January 14, 2025. The license was posted, and the restrictions were in compliance. A walk-through of the facility was completed today. All indoor and outdoor areas were monitored. I observed children in both the indoor and outdoor learning environments and found supervision and staff/child ratios to be in compliance. Lunch was hotdogs, wheat bread, bananas, milk and waffle fries. There was one violation observed. Violation Number Comment Rule 1847 A child care operator did not notify the Division of any new child care providers, as defined in G.S. 110-90.2(a)(2), who were hired or moved into the child care facility within five business days. G.S. 110-90.2 & .2703(r) Child care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Any violation(s) documented may impact the compliance history score. On or before September 4, 2025, I must receive a written, dated, and signed compliance letter that describes accurately and in detail, how and when the violation cited today was corrected. Please be aware any information submitted by you is legal documentation. If it is determined the information provided in the letter is not true, this may be considered falsification of information. If sufficient information is not received by the due date, a follow-up visit will be conducted. Due to the types of violations cited today, a follow-up visit will be made. Mail or email the information to: Alecia Paschal, Child Care Consultant, 509 Pilot Ave., Fayetteville, NC 28303. If you email the compliance letter, it must be sent from the email address registered with the DCDEE (this serves as your signature) and the following information must be included: name, position, facility name, and facility ID number. An example is: Jane Doe, Administrator AAA Child Care ID # 12345678 Technical assistance: I reviewed the ABCMS process with you. Complete the ABCMS Moodle training and submit the power form. You will receive an email from DCDEE stating that you now have access to the provider portal. Sign into the provider portal and find the code associated with your license. You will need the code to link all people in your home that are required to get a criminal background check to your licensed facility. I provided a copy of the instruction aid for your convenience. Today we discussed the new QRIS Pathways, and I provided you with the handouts located on our webpage. I reviewed all 3 options with you, and I explained what you would need to complete to earn stars based on pathway #1 and #2. You are not currently seeking national accreditation, and you would rather not participate in the FCCRS-3 to potentially earn 5 stars as outlined in pathway #3 and pathway #1. At this time, you will try to meet all of the requirements to earn 5 stars through Pathway #2. You plan on attending the Fall Provider Meeting scheduled for 6:30 pm on September 9, 2025, at the Hoke County Library. Please contact me if you need additional options for a different day that will work with your schedule and availability. For the latest information on child care rules and regulations, please visit the Division of Child Development and Early Education's website at https://ncchildcare.ncdhhs.gov/ At the completion of the visit, this visit summary and the FCCH enrollment worksheet were printed and signed. Contact me at Alecia Paschal, Child Care Consultant, at 910-489-0413 or by email at alecia.paschal@dhhs.nc.gov, or Janet Edwards, Licensing Supervisor, (910) 709-4160, Janet.Edwards@dhhs.nc.gov if you have questions. If the operator fails to correct any documented violations within the established time period, the Division of Child Development and Early Education may deny, suspend, terminate, or revoke any permit to operate (10A NCAC 09 .2000).
