We discussed the following items of technical assistance today: Staff Child Ratio: A staff-to-child ratio is a measure of the number of children for whom each childcare provider is responsible. Because younger children need more direct one-on-one interaction, response, and supervision, staff-to-child ratios are lower for younger children than for older ones. During outside activities today, one child was brought inside, which left the class our of ratio. Your required staff to child ratio is 1/13. I reminded you to ensure the correct number of children accompany you when transitioning. We discussed the following consultation items today: I reminded you to dump the water out of the sand and water table if its not in use, or to ensure that the cover is securely placed back on. We discussed questions you had about your assessment process.
