Ms. C. Hargrove, administrator, assisted me during the visit. Your program currently operates with a Three-Star issued July 14th, 2025. Children were observed participating in the following activities: homework, toileting, washing hands, and eating snacks. The last fire drill was conducted on 4/10/26. The last fire inspection 2/8/25. Past due The last sanitation inspection was 12/16/25. The last shelter and lock down drills were conducted on 1/26/26. During today’s visit, a partial assessment of applicable Child Care Requirements was conducted. The following items were observed in compliance during today’s visit: license posted, and restrictions followed, First Aid and CPR training up to date, qualifying letters current, daily schedule posted, current activity plans, menus posted, allergies posted, EMC posted, staff: child ratio posted, safe pick-up and delivery posted and supervision. Transportation vehicles and requirements were monitored today. Blue Van LHC-9117 and White van LKH-6573. Geico insurance good until 6/23/26 for both vehicles. Four violations were observed. Two were corrected during the visit. The provider did ask questions pertaining to staying in compliance. Violation Number Comment Rule 106 Operator has not scheduled and obtained a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection. Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division. The the last fire inspection was 2/8/25. 10A NCAC 09 .0304(a) 606 Running water, soap and individual sanitary towels, or other approved hand-drying devices were not supplied at each lavatory. Paper towels and soap were not in each lavatory. 15A NCAC 18A .2818(b) & (d) 812 Electrical outlets and power strips, not in use, which were located in space used by children did not have safety outlets or were not covered with safety plugs unless located behind furniture or equipment that cannot be moved by a child. (b) Each center shall establish procedures for pick-up and delivery of children to ensure children are protected from danger and not exposed to risk of harm. These procedures shall be communicated to parents, and a copy shall be posted in the center where they can be seen by the parents. (i) Before children are transported, written permission from a parent shall be obtained that shall include when and where the child is to be transported, expected time of departure and arrival, and the transportation provider. (j) Parents may give standing permission, valid for up to 12 months, for transport of children to and from the center not including off premise activities as described in Rule .1005 of this Section. 10A NCAC 09 .1002 SAFE VEHICLES (a) Vehicles used to transport children enrolled in child care centers shall be free of hazards such as, but not limited to, torn upholstery that allows children to remove the interior padding, broken windows, holes in the floor or roof, or tire treads of less than 2/32 of an inch. (b) Vehicles used to transport children enrolled in child care centers shall comply with all applicable State and federal laws and regulations. (c) Vehicles shall be insured for liability as required by State laws governing transportation of passengers pursuant to G.S. 20-279.21. Ms. C. Hargrove, administrator, assisted me during the visit. Your program currently operates with a Three-Star issued July 14th, 2025. Children were observed participating in the following activities: homework, toileting, washing hands, and eating snacks. The last fire drill was conducted on 4/10/26. The last fire inspection 2/8/25. Past due The last sanitation inspection was 12/16/25. The last shelter and lock down drills were conducted on 1/26/26. During today’s visit, a partial assessment of applicable Child Care Requirements was conducted. The following items were observed in compliance during today’s visit: license posted, and restrictions followed, First Aid and CPR training up to date, qualifying letters current, daily schedule posted, current activity plans, menus posted, allergies posted, EMC posted, staff: child ratio posted, safe pick-up and delivery posted and supervision. Transportation vehicles and requirements were monitored today. Blue Van LHC-9117 and White van LKH-6573. Geico insurance good until 6/23/26 for both vehicles. Four violations were observed. Two were corrected during the visit. The provider did ask questions pertaining to staying in compliance.
