Your family childcare home currently operates with a 2-star license issued August 6, 2024. The facility’s last annual compliance visit was conducted on August 6, 2024. The family child care home’s compliance history was reviewed with the operator. The program’s compliance history was one hundred (100%) percent as of August 4, 2025. Restrictions on the permit include 1st and 2nd shift care, a maximum of five (5) preschool children cared for at any time, fireplace/woodstove not used during operating hours, outdoor play in back yard only, and the facility serves no more than 2 infants under age1. You, Lenka Krepla, were present and available for consultation during the visit. Five (5) children between the ages of one (1) and three (3) are enrolled and five (5) were present. All spaces used by the children, indoors and outdoors, were monitored. Ms. Krepla has a room set up exclusively for childcare. Upon arrival at your facility, you and the children were near the bathroom. The children were performing toileting and handwashing routines. After handwashing, the children transitioned to morning snack which consisted of cereal, apples, and milk. After morning snack, the children colored zoo animal pictures and transitioned to free play activities which included pushing baby dolls in strollers and pushing cars and trucks. Handwashing, toileting, and food service procedures were monitored, and requirements were met. Today all children’s files were monitored. The facility’s safe sleep policy was monitored, and requirements were met. Due to no infants being enrolled, safe sleep checks were not monitored today. You completed health and safety trainings in April of 2020. Today, I showed you how to log into Moodle and register for 2025 health and safety trainings to complete them for the five-year requirement. Today, you completed a copy of the FCCH Operator’s Statements of Responsibility and the Verification of Required Information for Operator and Additional Caregivers Form. You are required to complete ten (10) ongoing training hours per year, and you have completed fifteen (15). You have five (5) training hours that may be carried forwarded for next year on going training requirements. Violation Number Comment Rule 2023 Operator and/or staff who work with children, did not complete health and safety training as part of on-going training so that every five years, all the topic areas were covered. Health and safety trainings were last completed in April 2020. .1703(d)(2) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Any violations documented may impact the compliance history score. Any violations documented must be corrected immediately. On or before Monday, August 18, 2025, I must receive a written, dated, and signed compliance letter that describes accurately and in detail how and when the violations were corrected. Your family childcare home currently operates with a 2-star license issued August 25, 2021, earning three (3) points in the education component, two (2) points in the program standards component, and one (1) quality point for using a programmatic option. The facility’s last annual compliance visit was conducted on August 18, 2022. The family child care home’s compliance history was reviewed with the operator. The program’s compliance history was ninety-eight (98) percent as of August 11, 2023. Restrictions on the permit include 1st and 2nd shift care, a maximum of five (5) preschool children cared for at any time, fireplace/woodstove not used during operating hours, outdoor play in back yard only, and the facility serves no more than 2 infants under age 1. You, Lenka Krepelka, were present and caring for the children. Five (5) children between the ages of one (1) and five (5) are enrolled and three (3) were present. Upon arrival at your facility, you were caring for the children. You prepared morning snack for the children which consisted of cereal, mangoes, and milk. The children transitioned from morning snack to free play activities which included playing with doll houses, people, cars, and boats. Toileting, handwashing, and food service requirements were monitored, and found to be in compliance. The outdoor space had a variety of gross motor equipment including a large swing set with a slide, riding toys, push toys, wagons, animal rockers, three (3) playhouses, sand and water tables, a covered dramatic play area, and a garden with tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, onions, and peas. Today all children files were monitored. Health and safety trainings were monitored, and requirements were met. Today, you completed a copy of the FCCH Operator’s Statements of Responsibility and the Verification of Required Information for Operator and Additional Caregivers Form. You are required to complete ten (10) ongoing training hours per year, and you have completed 10.5. You have .5 hours that you may carry forward for next year’s required on-going training hours.
