Megan Henderson, Lead Teacher, assisted me with the visit. The program operated with a five-star license, issued November 14, 2018, earning seven points for education, seven points for program standards, and one quality point for complying with the education option. License restrictions include daytime care only, meeting enhanced ratios minus one, and meets enhanced space. Children were observed during indoor free play activities and personal care routines. Teachers observed interacting with children while they played. Age-appropriate materials and equipment were accessible to children. Children were adequately supervised. One violation was observed during today’s visit. Violation Number Comment Rule 104 Center has not passed required sanitation inspection and received an approved or superior rating. The last sanitation inspection is date October 30, 2024. Title One Preschool Supervisor has requested an inspection Robeson County Environmental Health. 10A NCAC 09 .0304(b) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4)(d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. The program compliance history was one hundred percent as of April 23, 2026. The violation(s) documented must be corrected immediately. On or before May 8, 2026, I must receive a written, dated, and signed compliance letter that describes accurately and in detail, how and when the violations were corrected. Please be aware that any information submitted by you is considered legal documentation. If it is determined the information provided in the letter is not true, this may be considered falsification of information. If sufficient information is not received by the due date, a Nakita Bellamy, Child Care Consultant, 2201 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-2201 or Nakita.Bellamy@dhhs.nc.gov. An example is: Jane Doe, Administrator AAA Child Care ID # 12345678 Rated License Information: I met with Jamie Flanagan, Title I Pre-K Supervisor, on March 10, 2026, to discuss the most appropriate programmatic Pathway for each DPI program. Ms. Flanagan has decided to move forward with Pathway #2: Classroom and Instructional Quality. During our meeting, we reviewed the following documents: Family and Community Engagement Standards • CQI Facility Form • CQI Individual Form • ERS Assessment Standards All required documentation for the current process will be completed by Ms. Flanagan. You attended the NCRLAP on March 20, 2026, to review ECERS 3 as preparation for the upcoming Environmental Rating Scales assessments. As a reminder the NCRLAP provides resources on their website to help with preparation for assessment. A new license will be mailed directly to you and must be posted upon receipt. At that time, you will return the old license to me as it remains the property of the State of North Carolina. At the completion of the visit, this visit summary was printed, reviewed, and a copy was left with you.
