Serena Strickland, Lead Teacher assisted me with the visit. The program operated with a five-star license, issued December 18, 2017, earning seven points for education, seven points for program standards, and one quality point for complying with a programmatic option. License restrictions include daytime care only, meets enhances ratios minus one, meets enhances ratios, and meets enhances space. Children were observed children during teacher lead activities, personal care routines, and transition to rest time. The Teachers were observed interacting with children as they transition to rest time. Proper hand washing techniques procedures were observed. Age appropriate materials and equipment were accessible to the children. Children were adequately supervised. The following violations was observed during today’s visit. Violation Number Comment Rule 104 Center has not passed required sanitation inspection and received an approved or superior rating. The last inspection was dated March 2, 2024, the Program Coordinator has requested an inspection from Robeson Environmental Health Department. 10A NCAC 09 .0304(b) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Any violation(s) documented may impact the compliance history score. On or before October 30, 2025, I must receive a written, dated, and signed compliance letter that describes accurately and in detail how and when the violations were corrected. Please be aware any information submitted by you is legal documentation. If it is determined the information provided in the letter is not true, this may be considered falsification of information. If sufficient information is not received by the due date, a follow-up visit will be conducted. The sanitation inspection was completed January 1 2023, with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted November 15,2022 and your facility was approved for daytime care only. Children were observed children during teacher lead activities and transition to indoor free play activities. The Teachers were observed interacting with children while they played. Proper hand washing techniques procedures were observed. Age appropriate materials and equipment were accessible to the children. Children were adequately supervised. Violation Number Comment Rule 106 Operator has not scheduled and obtained a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection. Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division. The operator was not able to obtain a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection but has requested the inspection to be completed by the fire marshal. 10A NCAC 09 .0304(a) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent.
