Marilyn Rios assisted me with the visit. Your program currently operates with a Five-star license, issued October 30, 2017, earning seven (7) points in the education component, seven (7) points in the program standards component and 1 quality point in the education option. Restrictions include: first shift, meets enhanced ratios minus 1 and enhanced space. The last annual compliance visit was conducted on September 23, 2024. The sanitation inspection was completed on September 23, 2024, with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted on August 22, 2024, and your facility was approved for daytime care only. The center's compliance history was 97% effective March 5, 2025 and it was reviewed with the operator. Staff/child ratio, group size, supervision, use of licensed space, space capacity, and license restrictions were monitored. The license and emergency care plan were posted. Fire drills, medication administration, and storage of hazardous products were also monitored. The Staff and Training Worksheet, the Children's Records Worksheet and the Annual Compliance Monitoring Checklist were completed during the visit. It is Cat in the Hat week and activities were planned to encourage reading. Children in NC Pre-K #1 were observed playing in centers and children in classroom #2 were observed in centers and group time. Proper hand washing techniques were observed.
