Your last annual compliance visit was conducted on April 4, 2024. You, Areisha Carlton and Jennifer Russell, Lead Teachers, assisted with today’s visit. Your program currently operates with a five-star license effective March 26, 2018. The permit restrictions were in compliance including daytime care only, enhanced ratios reduced by one, Certified Developmental Day, meets enhanced ratios and meets enhanced space. Children were observed during individual center play, teacher directed group activities, gross motor play, lunch, nap/rest, handwashing, toileting, transitions, and departure. Your last annual fire inspection was conducted on September 11, 2024. The facility was approved for daytime care only. Your last monthly fire drill was conducted today November 26, 2024 at 2:50 pm. Your last emergency lockdown drill was conducted on September 6, 2024. Your last monthly playground inspection was conducted on November 14, 2024. Your last sanitation inspection was conducted on September 19, 2024 with 4 demerits and a superior rating. NC Pre-K and Developmental Day: NC Pre-K and Developmental Day requirements were monitored and in compliance. A checklist was used to note the requirements I monitored today. One violation was observed today: Violation Number Comment Rule 125 Daily records of arrival and departure times for children enrolled at the center were not maintained as children arrive and depart and/or were not made available for review. On October 24, 2024, one child was not signed in. On November 15, 2024, one child was not signed out. On November 22, 2024, two children were not signed out. On November 26, 2024, one child was not signed out. 10A NCAC 09 .0302(d)(4) Technical Assistance: I recommended that a staff member review arrival and departure sheets daily to ensure that each child has been signed in and out each day to ensure the health and safety of children enrolled in your program and maintain compliance with child care requirements. Consultation: We discussed four (4) items from your NCRLAP ECERS-R assessment results that would be considered violations if observed by a representative of the Division of Child Development and Early Education. Consultation was provided to you regarding these items.
