Jenny Taylor, provider assisted me with the visit. Your program currently operates with a four-star license, issued July 30, 2021, earning 7 points in the education component, 2 points in the program standards component (meeting enhanced space) and 1 quality point for having a combined turnover rate of 20% or less with the administrator, program coordinator, lead teacher, and group teacher positions over the last 12 months. Your program was also monitored for compliance with implementing an approved curriculum as required for all four and five star licensed facilities where four-year-old children are enrolled. The last annual compliance visit was conducted April 4, 2024. The last sanitation inspection was completed September 12, 2024, with a “superior” rating. The fire inspection was completed October 15, 2024, and your facility was approved for daytime and night care. The center's compliance history was reviewed with the operator. The program’s compliance history was 100% as of today. A walk-through of the facility was completed today, all indoor and outdoor areas were monitored. I observed children in their indoor learning environments and found supervision and staff/child ratios to be in compliance. Children throughout the facility were participating in group time, free play, transitions, and personal care routines. The caregivers were interacting and meeting the developmental needs for each of the children. Infants were cared for in a nurturing and caring manner. Safe sleep checks were monitored. Staff files were monitored for compliance. Rated license requirements were reviewed to ensure compliance was maintained with current program and education components as well as the quality point. Lunch consisted of hot dogs with buns, apples, peas and milk. The following violation was documented: Violation Number Comment Rule 1311 Emergency medical care information was not on file in the center on the child's first day of attendance and/or was not updated as changes occurred or at least annually for each child. One child's emergency information had not been updated at least annually. .0802(c) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent.
