Name of Operation: DAILY BREAD CHILD CARE DEVELOPMENT CENTER Facility ID: 83000287 Consultant: DEANNA ABRAHAM Operation Type: Center Case Number: Visit Date: 7/25/2023 Number Present: 2 Completed Date: 7/25/2023 Age: From 3 To 4 Total Minutes: 195 Time In: 09:15 AM Time Out: 12:30 PM Time In: Time Out: List to Use: Center Type Of Visit: Annual Comp Full Announced/Unannounced: Unannounced The purpose of today’s visit was to monitor your program for compliance with applicable child care requirements for an annual compliance visit. Upon arrival I was met by Frances Ladson. Ms. Ladson opened the door to allow me entrance to the center. Two children ages three and four were left unattended in the room while she opened the door. Frances Ladson, owner/director assisted me with the visit. Your program currently operates as a religious sponsored facility under Notice of Compliance, issued March 29, 2023: Restriction includes: Daytime care only and enhanced ratios. The last temporary time period visit was conducted February 21, 2023. The sanitation inspection was completed January 1, 2023, with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted September 1, 2022, and your facility was approved for daytime and nighttime care. The center's compliance history was reviewed with the operator. The program’s compliance history was ninety two percent as of today. I visited each indoor and outdoor space. The children were observed playing in centers. Lunch consisted of beans/franks, peas, orange slices, wheat bread and apple juice. REMEMBER ALL outside drinks brought from home upon arrival should be of nutritional value if consumed in the center. Due to a violation cited a follow-up visit shall be conducted. The following violation was documented: Violation Number Comment Rule 303 Children were not adequately supervised at all times. In space #1, two children ages three and four were left unattended in the room while the director opened the door. After opening the door, the director returned to the room. .1801(a)(1-5) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent.
