This DPI preschool program currently operates with a Five Star License, effective August 22, 2024. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ms. Roberson, Lead Teacher and Ms. Rojas, Teacher. There were fifteen children present today. Children were observed playing outside with a variety of toys, transitioning inside and washing their hands. They were also observed having group time discussing opposites and listening to a story. They also played in activity centers of their choice. A sanitation inspection was completed on 8/26/24 and received a Superior classification. Fire drills, emergency drills, and playground inspections were current and documented. Arrival times were not completed for today. The outdoor area was free of visible hazards. There was one item of non-compliance observed today. The corresponding violation was cited below. Violation Number Comment Rule 125 Daily records of arrival and departure times for children enrolled at the center were not maintained as children arrive and depart and/or were not made available for review. There were no arrival times documented during today's visit. 10A NCAC 09 .0302(d)(4) Violation(s) documented above must be corrected immediately. A signed and dated letter of compliance must be emailed to me by 1/22/25, describing how and when the violation(s) were corrected.
