    Name of Operation: WAGES BELFAST CENTER Facility ID: 96000503 Consultant: TAMEKA JOHNSON Operation Type: Center Case Number: Visit Date: 8/3/2023 Number Present: 20 Completed Date: 8/3/2023 Age: From 1 To 3 Total Minutes: 68 Time In: 09:22 AM Time Out: 10:30 AM Time In: Time Out: List to Use: Center Type Of Visit: Routine Unannounced Announced/Unannounced: Unannounced The purpose of today’s visit was to monitor applicable child care requirements during your routine unannounced visit. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the administrator, N. Warren. I was accompanied by Ms. Warren as I completed a general walkthrough of the indoor environment which consisted of five (5) classrooms, kitchen and the outdoor environment. The children were observed during outdoor play and free choice activities. Today’s meal was in compliance with the Meal Patterns. ** License Status The facility is currently operating with a five-star license issued on June 6, 2022. ** Annual Inspections: The last sanitation inspection was completed February 24, 2023and received a ‘Superior’ classification with 8 demerits. The last fire inspection was completed on October 13, 2022. The last documented fire drill was conducted on July 20, 2023, the last documented lockdown drill was completed on July 25, 2023, and the last documented playground inspection was completed on July 11, 2023. Prior to today’s visit I reviewed the NC Secretary of State’s website and observed that the owner of this facility is listed current/active. During today’s visit, a partial assessment of Child Care Requirements was conducted. The monitoring included: supervision of children, staff/child ratio, storage of hazardous substances, storage of medicine, adequate/ approved space, posted license, license restrictions, attendance logs, program records and transportation. The following violations were observed, documented and technical assistance regarding maintaining compliance was offered. Violation Number Comment Rule 428 A current activity plan was not posted for each group of children for reference. One classroom did not have a current activity plan posted. GS 110-91(12); .0508(a) The violation cited during today’s visit was corrected during the visit; therefore, no compliance letter is needed.
