Name of Operation: ME MOM DAY CARE Facility ID: 26001955 Consultant: SANDRA JOHNSON Operation Type: Family CC Home Case Number: Visit Date: 3/10/2025 Number Present: 1 Completed Date: 3/10/2025 Age: From 4 To 4 Total Minutes: 135 Time In: 08:45 AM Time Out: 11:00 AM Time In: Time Out: List to Use: Family CC Home Type Of Visit: Annual Comp Full Announced/Unannounced: Unannounced The purpose of today's visit was to monitor compliance with applicable child care requirements pertinent to an annual compliance, including Health and Safety Trainings visit. The previous Annual Compliance Visit was completed March 13, 2024, and prior to today’s visit, the eighteen-month compliance history score was at 100% which is above 75%, as required by North Carolina General Statute 110-90(4)(c-d). This program currently operates with a Five-Star License issued August 13, 2022. The License was based on the program earning seven (7) points in education standards, seven (7) points in program standards, and one quality point by choosing to meet an education option: has obtained an Infant/Toddler Care Certificate; received July 21, 2015. The information on record with DCDEE was verified as correct by Diane Hawkins, Operator. Current Inspections are as follows: Sanitation Classification of Superior completed March 5, 2025. Ms. Hawkins was present while I observed the indoor and outdoor areas. Upon my arrival one child was observed playing in the play area of the home. The child was observed writing his letters, playing dress up, with age-appropriate toys and materials. The child moved freely about the space. Ms. Hawkins would help the child when he was having a difficult time writing his letters. Lunch served today will be lima bean, hot dogs & buns, peaches, and milk. I received the most current sanitation inspection during today’s visit. At the completion of the visit, the Visit Summary was reviewed with Ms. Hawkins. No violations were observed. Violation Number Comment Rule 1544 The child care operator did not comply with all State laws, federal laws and/or local ordinances that pertain to child health, safety, and welfare, as required by General Statute 110-91. The sanitation inspection was not completed within a 12 month period. The previous inspection was dated for 2/28/2024. This was corrected during visit by the operator providing with the current sanitation inspection dated for 3/5/2025. GS 110-91 Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. No compliance letter is required. The violation observed was corrected during the visit. Reminders: Be reminded that all inspection are required to be completed within a 12 month period. The DCDEE has a new initiative – Natural Outdoor Learning Initiative. Through this initiative, we hope to: increase knowledge and confidence for everyone in developing and implementing best practices to support the creation, programming, and safe use of naturalized outdoor spaces in child care facilities.
