Amy Hunt, Lead Teacher assisted me with the visit. The program operated with a five-star license, issued March 1, 2019, earning seven points for education, seven points for program standards, and one quality point for complying with an education option. License restrictions include daytime care only, meets highest voluntary enhanced ratios, meets enhanced ratios, and meets enhanced space. The last annual compliance visit was conducted January 14, 2025. The sanitation inspection was completed September 19, 2024, with a “Superior” classification. The last fire inspection was conducted November 25,2024, and your facility was approved for daytime care only. Children were observed during teacher lead activities and transition to free play activities. The Teachers were observed interacting with children while they played. Age-appropriate materials and equipment were accessible to children. Children were adequately supervised. The following violation was observed during today’s visit. Violation Number Comment Rule 104 Center has not passed required sanitation inspection and received an approved or superior rating. A current sanitation inspection was not file and the last inspection was dated September 19, 2025. 10A NCAC 09 .0304(b) Child Care programs are expected to achieve and maintain compliance at all times and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Your compliance history was 98% prior to today's visit. The violation(s) documented must be corrected immediately. On or before December 4, 2025, I must receive a written, dated, and signed compliance letter that describes accurately and in detail, how and when the violations were corrected. Please be aware any information submitted by you is legal documentation. If it is determined the information provided in the letter is not true, this may be considered falsification of information. If sufficient information is not received by the due date, a follow-up visit will be conducted. During that meeting Ms. Flanagan stated they are exploring pathway #3, accreditation. A determination will be made once the coordinators have reviewed and met with each accreditation agency. On November 19, 2025, Ms. Flanagan confirmed they are moving forth with Cognia accreditation. There are still some administration items to review and meetings as they prepare to work on early learning standards. At the completion of the visit, this visit summary was reviewed, printed, and a copy left with you. Amy Hunt, Lead Teacher assisted me with the visit. The program operated with a five-star license, issued March 1, 2019, earning seven points for education, seven points for program standards, and one quality point for complying with an education option. License restrictions include daytime care only, meets highest voluntary enhanced ratios, meets enhanced ratios, and meets enhanced space. The program’s compliance history was ninety-nine percent as of May 21, 2025. I observed children during teacher free play activities and personal care routines. The teachers were interacting and meeting the developmental needs for each of the children. No new staff files were reviewed due to there being no new employees. Lunch consisted of baked rotini, grilled cheese, garlic knot, corn, spinach salad, grapes, and milk. Violation Number Comment Rule 1805 A child care operator did not notify the Division of any new child care providers, as defined in G.S. 110-90.2(a)(2), who were hired or moved into the child care facility within five business days. A facility roster was not created in the ABCMS system and was not available for review.
