An Annual Compliance Monitoring Checklist was used to assess compliance. This program is currently operated by Guilford County School System earned a Four-Star License issued 3/11/2020. The program earned 2 points in Program Standards, 7 points in Education and 1 Quality point (Staff Benefits Package/Infrastructure of parent involvement). Upon arrival at the elementary school, I was greeted by the office staff. W. Scott, Site Coordinator assisted me with the visit today. I walked through the indoor and outdoor areas of the facility that the children use during the visit. There were fifty children present on this visit. I observed children and staff members during toileting and later during snack time. The last sanitation inspection was conducted on 03/21/2024 and the facility earned a “superior” classification with two demerits. The last fire inspection occurred on 8/24/2023 and the program was approved for daytime care only. The last Annual Compliance Full visit was conducted on 5/9/2023. The public-school off-site records verification forms for staff records and children’s records were completed and were signed by the principal. There was one violation of child care requirements observed today. Violation Number Comment Rule 847 Parent's medication authorization did not include required information. One child had listed asthma that requires an inhaler. The child did not have an action plan or the medication at the program. 10A NCAC 09 .0803(4)(6-9) We reviewed and discussed the importance of the Child Medical Action Plan today. We also shared the results from your SACERS Assessment Report from your last scores. I left a copy of that report with you. I also provided Preparation Year information to help assist you with the process once its decided to move forward with the process. You were provided with an opportunity to ask questions regarding the implementation of Child Care Rules and Regulations. Your compliance documentation will need to be emailed to me by 04/19/2024.
