I monitored the indoor and outdoor environments for compliance with child care requirements. Staff/child ratios, supervision, use of space and capacity were monitored for compliance. The sanitation placard, evacuation plan, safe arrival and departure procedures, first aid chart, menus, daily schedules, staff/child ratios, emergency medical care plan, emergency telephone numbers and a summary of NC Child Care Law were all posted at the time of today's visit. No new staff members were hired since the 4-22-25 annual compliance visit. A sample of existing files were reviewed and the information on the Staff and Training worksheet was verified. A sample of children's files were reviewed during the visit and the worksheet was completed. The storage of medication and hazardous products was also monitored for compliance. The last fire drill was documented as completed on 3-11-26 at 2:10 pm with an evacuation time of three minutes. The last outdoor inspection was documented as completed on 3-25-26. A shelter in place drill was documented as completed on 1-23-26 at 11:15 am. An approved fire inspection was completed on 3-11-26. A sanitation inspection was last completed on 12-18-25 with three demerits and a superior classification. The children were observed in participating in circle time and writing activities. The incorporation status of Light Church of Clayton was verified as current and active during the visit using the Secretary of State's website. You are currently licensed under a GS 110-106 Notice of Compliance. At the time of today's visit, you continued to meet the requirements previously met to obtain the Notice of Compliance. Please be reminded that you may apply for a star rated license at any time by submitting an Application for Assessment of a Two Component Rated License to me. Violation Number Comment Rule 1323 Each child was not immunized as per Article 6 of Chapter 130A and an immunization record was not on file before or within 30 days after admission. Immunization records were not available in the two children's files reviewed. 10A NCAC 09 .0302(d)(2) Child care licensing requirements are established to ensure a safe and healthy child care environment. Therefore, it is important for you to be knowledgeable of all the licensing requirements that apply to your program. It is your responsibility to maintain compliance with all of the applicable laws and rules at all times. The best way for you to make sure that you are meeting all requirements is to periodically review the childcare law and rules. I explained that you have access to the on-line version of the Child Care Rule Book, as well as a hard copy of the rules. I recommended that you visit the Division of Child Development's website (www.ncchildcare.nc.gov) on a regular basis to find out what's new in childcare. You could also find any needed Child Care forms by going on the web site and clicking on the "Provider" tab and then clicking on the "Provider Documents" tab.
